  1. "When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he though, 'Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.'" Genesis 28:16
"In your light we see light." Psalm 36:9b

God gives us new vision in which we see the world around us. The Lord is with us and among us although we may not recognize as Jacob didn't at first. When I read these passages, I thought about how I really need to shift my paradigm to reflect how God views the world/His people. I get caught up too often in my own prejudices and ideas, and they cloud my vision of Glory. In Matthew Jesus points forward to the signs of the end of the age, and we too must look forward at times (not something I am too fond of). God's plan is evident in the past, the present, and the future. It's time we tune into what is going on in the Kingdom.
