Psalm 26:4-8 "I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O LORD, proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds."
As a believer, I am to uphold the pure life that God calls us to by refusing to act immorally and pursue righteous living. This is portrayed very obviously to others and serves as a catalyst or detriment to the names sake of Christ as we claim his name -- people watch us as believers and expect us to reflect God to the world. Ultimately God calls me to share the Gospel (despite my personal failings as a witness), He rules the heart.
